who we are
imelabs is an ai product studio based in the uk. this policy covers the imelabs website, the build enquiry form, the shop, and pebble, the chatbot. if you have questions about this policy, email hello@imelabs.co.uk.
what we collect
we only collect what a given feature needs to work.
- build enquiries. name, email, and whatever project details you enter, so we can put a quote together and reply.
- shop orders. name, email, delivery address, and payment details, handled by stripe. we never see or store your card number.
- pebble chats.the messages you send it, so it can answer you. don't paste anything sensitive into the chat.
- cookies. a theme preference (light, dark, or auto) and, on the shop, a cart identifier. both are functional, not tracking.
- basic server logs. ip address and request metadata, kept briefly to stop abuse (rate limiting) and to debug errors.
how we use it
- to reply to enquiries and put together a quote.
- to take payment and get an order made and shipped.
- to answer questions through pebble.
- to keep the site secure and working.
we don't sell your data, and we don't run ad tracking.
who we share it with
we use a small set of processors to run the site. each only sees what it needs to do its job:
- stripe, to take payment for shop orders.
- printify and its print partners, to fulfil and ship physical orders, which means your name and delivery address get passed along.
- resend, to send quote and contact emails.
- telegram, for an internal notification when a build enquiry comes in.
- vercel, who host the site and process requests to run it.
- an ai model provider, to generate pebble's replies. your message is sent to answer the question; it isn't used to build a profile of you.
we don't hand data to anyone else, other than where the law requires it.
how long we keep it
enquiry and order details are kept as long as needed to deliver the work and meet our accounting obligations, then deleted. server logs roll over after a short window. you can ask us to delete your data sooner, subject to anything we're legally required to retain (like order and tax records).
your rights
under uk gdpr you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to explain how we're using it. email hello@imelabs.co.ukand we'll sort it. if you think we've got it wrong, you can also complain to the ico (ico.org.uk).
security
the site runs a strict content security policy, https everywhere, and rate limiting on forms and chat. payment details are handled entirely by stripe, never by us directly.
changes
if this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
